Save Time, Ask a Librarian

To use Library services, you must register in SLSP, which first requires a Switch edu-ID account.

1. Go to https://eduid.ch:

•  If you already have a Switch edu-ID account:
  • Make sure that your contact e-mail address is your personal one and that your @graduateinstitute.ch address, if you have one, is also listed in the “E-mail Addresses” section.
  • Set up a multi-factor authentication to secure your account (see point 3).
     
• If you do not have a Switch edu-ID account:
  • Click “Create account”.
  • Fill in the required fields.
  • Enter a personal email address.
  • Create and confirm a strong password.
  • Accept the “Terms and Conditions”.
  • Click “Register”:
    
    
     
  • A validation message will be sent to the e-mail address you provided. Click on the link in this e-mail to confirm your registration with Switch edu-ID.

2. Once you have validated your Switch edu-ID, go back to https://eduid.ch and sign in with your new credentials:

• If you are a member of the Geneva Graduate Institute community:
  • In your “Profile”, under “E-Mail Addresses”, click “Manage e-mail addresses”.
  • Click “Add e-mail address”.
  • Enter your @graduateinstitute.ch e-mail address.
  • Click “Continue”.
  • A verification code will be sent to your @graduateinstitute.ch e-mail address. Enter this code and click “Submit”:
    
    
     
• If you are not a member of the Geneva Graduate Institute community:
  • Complete the personal details of your Switch edu-ID account profile with at least a physical address, a telephone number, and your date of birth.

3. Under “Security”, click “On” to enable multi-factor authentication mode and select one; click “More options” to display SMS verification:

If you choose the SMS option, you will need enter your mobile phone number on the profile page.

4. Once your Switch edu-ID has been validated and secured with a multi-factor authentication option, go to https://registration.slsp.ch/?iz=iheid:

• Create your swisscovery account:
  • Click on “Start Registration”:
     
    
     
    • Log in with your Switch edu-ID account.
    • Check and complete the additional information if required.
    • Accept the terms of use:
      
      

4. Your registration is now complete!

• Go to Swisscovery:
  • Sign in with your Switch edu-ID to reserve or request documents:
