To use Library services, you must register in SLSP, which first requires a SWITCH edu-ID account.

1. Go to https://eduid.ch:

•  If you already have a SWITCH edu-ID account:
  • Make sure that your contact e-mail address is your personal one and that your @graduateinstitute.ch address, if you have one, is listed in the additional e-mail address section.
  • Make sure that the two-step login authentication is active (see point 3).
     
• If you do not have a SWITCH edu-ID account:
  • Click on “Create account”.
  • Enter a personal email address.
  • Create a strong password and confirm it.
  • Accept the “Terms of use”.
  • Click on “Create account”:
    
    
     
  • A validation message will be sent to the e-mail address you provided. Click on the link in this e-mail to confirm your registration with SWITCH edu-ID.
     

2. Once you have validated your SWITCH edu-ID, go back to https://eduid.ch and login with your credentials:

• If you are a member of the Geneva Graduate Institute community:
  • Click on “Add an e-mail address”.
  • Enter your @graduateinstitute.ch e-mail.
  • Click on “Verify”.
  • A verification code will be sent to your @graduateinstitute.ch e-mail address. Enter this code and click on “Verify”:
    
    
     
• If you are not a member of the Geneva Graduate Institute community:
  • Complete your SWITCH edu-ID account details with at least the following information: a physical address, a telephone number, your date of birth.
     

3. Secure your account by activating the two-step login authentication:

• In your user account:
  • click on the pencil next to “Two-step login”:
    
    
     
  • Choose between two authentication methods (authentication app or SMS verification code).
  • Click “On” next to the option you choose, and follow the instructions to complete the process.
    !!! To activate the mobile phone verification code, you must enter your mobile phone number on the profile page !!!
    
    

4. Once your SWITCH edu-ID is validated and secured with two-step authentication, go to https://registration.slsp.ch/?iz=iheid:

• Create your Swisscovery account:
  • Click on “Start Registration”:
     
    
     
    • Log in with your SWITCH edu-ID account.
    • Fill in the additional information if required.
    • Accept the terms of use:
      
      

4. Your registration is now complete!

• Go to Swisscovery:
  • Sign in with your SWITCH edu-ID to reserve or request documents:
