How to search for e-books?

The Library offers e-books via the Swisscovery portal. You can easily find them in the same way you search for print books. Simply refine your initial search with the filters:

  • ‘Show only: Online’
  • ‘Resource Type: Books’

If you are off-site, you will need to activate the VPN (Virtual Private Network) to access e-books remotely.

Some e-books are not fully downloadable, or only partially, because of the Digital Rights Management (DRMs) applied to them. This varies from publisher to publisher and from title to title.

Please note, you cannot read a non-downloadable e-book offline.
