How to request a document from another library?
-
Cannot find the document you are looking for in our library? Request it from another library.
Use the Swisscovery Courier service if:
- the desired document is not a scan of an article or book chapter. Therefore, see the Interlibrary Loan service below.
- the holding library is part of the Swisscovery network and offers this service
Exception:
Documents located in Geneva libraries (UNIGE and the City of Geneva) are not available through the Swisscovery Courier service. Users must visit the holding library to borrow them directly. |
- On the Swisscovery catalogue, sign in using your SWITCH edu-ID account.
- Use the “Swisscovery” or “Swisscovery plus” search scope to find your desired document.
-
Once you have located it, click to select and view its details.
- Under “Further request options”, make sure the pick-up location is “Institut de hautes études internationales et du développement”. Then, click “Request”,
- If you have additional information to provide, you can enter it on the next page. Otherwise, click “Send request".
- You will receive an email notification when the requested document becomes available at the Loan Desk. The Swisscovery Courier delivery time is 3 working days.
